Victor Hugo's was started back in 1940 by a French couple. Now 66 years old, it was bought by myself, Shelagh McNeil, at the end of November 2005. My friendly and knowledgeable staff and I continue to look forward to the further development of Victor Hugo's.

I am passionate about food and drink and believe in trying to offer quality and choice. A product's origin influences its quality and taste and I will source and sell the best food available locally and internationally and where possible direct from the supplier in order to maintain quality and competitive pricing. I will be putting together a monthly newsletter to keep you informed of all that is happening here at Victor Hugo's.

Victor Hugo's has recently instigated an 'external' catering service where we utilise our top quality produce and fresh seasonal foods to create a tantalising menu to suit your special occasion and budget. Please contact me personally for further details.
